SimpleSlings.com is the result of the evolution of a small, family owned business called 4 Peas in a Pod.

In the winter of 2003, the founders of 4 Peas in a Pod, wishing to practice in-arms parenting, encountered many obstacles in seeking solutions for carrying their soon to be newborn baby. The search for a perfect baby carrier came up consistently short. Finding a carrier that was stylish, functional, and comfortable with quality craftsmanship seemed impossible.

It was then that expectant mama Allison Snyder headed to her sewing machine and made her very first baby sling. She nicknamed it the "PeaPod", as their daughter was affectionately called Sweetpea. Countless slings later, the name was changed to "The Simple Sling" after so many consistent customer comments on the sling's ease of use.

In the summer of 2008, Penelope Lawson came on board as a partner to Simpleslings. She brings extensive professional knowledge of babies and children as well as a great eye for fashion and color.

4 Peas in a Pod was born out of a desire to help other families find simple baby solutions. This continues to be our mission today at SimpleSlings.com.
